Velvt Community Guidelines

Last updated: November 3, 2026

These guidelines apply to every Velvt profile, connection, message, group, media upload and shared link. They describe the rules members are asked to accept during profile setup. Guidelines version: community-2026-11-03-v1.

Respect other people

No harassment, bullying, hateful conduct, threats, stalking, doxxing, sexual harassment or discrimination. Do not publish someone’s private contact details or intimate material without consent. Respect declined requests, blocked contact and requests to stop communicating.

Keep accounts and opportunities honest

No scams, impersonation, fake job offers, misleading payment requests, phishing, malware or bulk unsolicited promotions. Do not request sign-in codes or pretend to be Velvt support. Do not evade suspensions, bans or another member’s privacy choices. Disclose relevant terms before asking someone to pay or contribute work.

Share content you are entitled to share

Only upload or link music, recordings, images, video and text you own or have permission to share. Respect co-writer, performer, producer, photographer and other contributor rights. Do not claim someone else’s work as your own. Make written agreements about collaboration fees, ownership, credits and royalties.

Prohibited content

No pornography, sexual solicitation, nonconsensual intimate content, graphic violence, encouragement of violence, exploitation, or content promoting unlawful activity. Child sexual abuse and exploitation, grooming, sextortion, trafficking and sexualized material involving minors are prohibited, including synthetic or AI-generated depictions. See the Child Safety Standards.

Adults-only accounts

Velvt accounts are for people aged 18 and older. Do not misstate age or help an underage person evade restrictions. Report suspected underage accounts without publicly exposing their private details.

Report and control contact

Use Report on a profile or in a conversation. Select the closest reason and include enough context for the moderation team to investigate. Public-profile concerns can also be sent to support with the profile link. Avoid downloading or forwarding harmful material, especially suspected child sexual abuse material.

Blocking controls limit unwanted contact and discovery where available. Some official and protected accounts currently cannot be blocked; they can still be reported. Do not use that protection to harass or pressure members.

Review, enforcement and appeals

The team can review reports, remove or restrict content, limit features, suspend accounts or ban members as appropriate. Urgent safety issues may require action before notice. Relevant information may be preserved for investigations or legal obligations. Filters and reviews do not identify every violation. Reports must be made in good faith; deliberately false or retaliatory reports are prohibited.

To appeal, email support with the username, affected content or decision, and the reason for review. Do not create another account to bypass a restriction. For an immediate threat or emergency, contact appropriate emergency services; Velvt is not an emergency-response service.
