Velvt Account Deletion and Data Requests

You can close your Velvt community account and request permanent erasure of associated data. The current website handles account closure and permanent erasure as separate actions. Read the distinction below before choosing an option.
Close community access in Settings
- Sign in to Velvt and open Settings.
- Choose Delete My Velvt Account.
- Read the retention explanation and confirm Delete account.
This removes community access, signs you out and releases the username. It retains the old profile, uploads, posts, messages and related content for administrator access. It does not automatically erase those records. Signing up again starts a new profile.
Request permanent account and data deletion
You do not need to install an app to make a request. Email submission@redvelvetstudio.com from the email linked to the account, with the subject Velvt permanent account and data deletion request. Include your username and the email linked to your account, and state whether you want the entire account and community data erased or are requesting deletion of particular information.
If you cannot access that email, explain the problem so we can consider another verification method. Never send a password or sign-in code. Selecting the email link prepares a message; it does not send the request automatically.
What is erased and what may be retained
An administrator handles permanent erasure of the community identity and associated profile, uploaded media and community content through the available deletion tools. Current tools do not permit permanent erasure during the first 48 hours after closure. The 48-hour period is a minimum tool restriction, not an automatic erasure deadline. We verify identity where appropriate, explain material retention exceptions and respond within applicable legal timeframes.
Separate purchase, tax and transaction records, necessary fraud or abuse-prevention information, legal holds and other legally required records may be retained for their applicable purposes. Limited backup or security records may require separate handling. Content already copied, downloaded or cached by other people or external services may remain outside our control.
Subscriptions and purchases
Closing or deleting a Velvt account does not automatically cancel a paid subscription. The current closure flow can require a paid community subscription to be canceled first. Follow the subscription cancellation instructions and contact support if you cannot complete a deletion request. Historical Shopify purchase records are separate from your public community profile.
Other privacy requests
To request access, correction, a portable copy, withdrawal of consent or another privacy right, email support with the subject Velvt privacy request. Include enough information to identify the account and explain the request. See the Privacy Policy for details.
